30 year-old actress Minka Kelly has been very generous sharing quotes about her diet lately:

“I don’t want to diet for the rest of my life. If you don’t let yourself have the things you want, especially when it comes to something as simple as food, you’ll fill and end up being less healthful.

I eat egg whites and oatmeal for breakfast, a salad with protein for lunch, and fish and veggies at night. But once in awhile, I have that cheeseburger and fries!

I don’t feel like dinner’s done unless I have a sweet. I’d rather go for a small slice of real chocolate cake than a bunch of sugar-free cookies. It’s all moderation.”

In the entertainment industry, there’s tons of pressure for ladies to look their best. And Minka Kelly says that while she loves to stay in shape, she’s not a slave to dieting.

The “Friday Night Lights” babe told press, "I don't want to diet for the rest of my life. If you don't let yourself have the things you want, especially when it comes to something as simple as food, you'll fill and end up being less healthful."

In order to keep things in check, Minka eats "egg whites and oatmeal for breakfast, a salad with protein for lunch, and fish and veggies at night. But once in awhile, I have that cheeseburger and fries!"


She also confesses to having a sweet tooth. "I don't feel like dinner's done unless I have a sweet. I'd rather go for a small slice of real chocolate cake than a bunch of sugar-free cookies. It's all moderation."

It seems like a long time since I heard about this movie, but ‘The Roommate,’ starring Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly, is finally about to be released! It looks like Leighton and Minka became close during filming, judging from how they behaved on the red carpet at a screening of ‘The Roommate’ last night.

They have very different red-carpet styles, don’t they? I’m a fan of both: what do you think?
I wonder if Garrett Hedlund (the guy Leighton is rumored to be dating) and Derek Jeter (Minka’s boyfriend) were on hand behind-the-scenes to lend support?

The actress, who stars in The Roommate with Leighton Meester, is featured in the latest issue of GQ. In a two-picture spread, Minka Kelly gives Red Sox fans yet another reason to hate Derek Jeter. That's because the Yankees shortstop has been rounding the bases with this beauty for years.

With marriage rumors constantly swirling around her and the future Hall of Famer, this former Friday Night Lights star would simply say there's no ceremony planned for next month.

Beyond that? Who knows. We just hope Minka continues to find time to pose for photos such as these.

She’s always been easy on the eyes and last night (October 27) Minka Kelly celebrated her status as Esquire magazine’s Sexiest Woman Alive.

The “Friday Night Lights” hottie arrived at Plunge in New York City looking fabulous as she posed for the paparazzi.

As for her spicy photo spread for Esquire, Minka explained, "I've never done a sexy photo shoot before. I've never really honestly tapped into that side. It was really liberating. It was exciting. I would look at the pictures, like, that's me?"

Ms. Kelly also noted that having a few years under her belt has helped her feel more free. "Done with the twenties. I'm confident — confident in my skin, and I'm cool with my flaws and all that stuff. It just feels nice to be at peace with yourself. I think my thirtieth birthday gave me permission to have all that. The twenties were a pain in the ass — figuring it all out. What am I doing? Where do I go?"  (Hollywood Gossip)

Minka Kelly: I Didn't Freak Out on Delta

Minka Kelly claims she didn't freak out on an airplane earlier today ... and never called boyfriend Derek Jeter ... this according to her lawyer.

There's a report circulating that Minka had an epic meltdown on a flight from NY to LAX earlier today when she wasn't allowed to put her dog on her seat during takeoff.

According to the report, it took all seven flight attendants, a personal plea from the pilot ... and a phone call to boyfriend Derek Jeter to calm her down. 

But Kelly's lawyer, Marty Singer, tells TMZ ... Minka paid extra to bring her dog on board the flight.  There was never an issue on the L.A./New York trip.  But Singer says on the return trip, the flight attendant would not let Minka's dog in the first class cabin during takeoff and landing because of space issues.  Singer says Minka took her dog back to coach for takeoff and landing and spent the rest of the time with her pooch in first class.

Singer calls the freak-out story "ridiculous," adding she would have been kicked off the flight if she went nuts.  As for calling Jeter, Singer says it didn't happen -- she called her manager who booked the flight in an attempt to convince the flight attendant she had made accommodations for the dog in first class. Minka Kelly Leaves The Hair Salon

Minka Kelly was spotted leaving the hair salon yesterday afternoon. Doesn't her hair look great? (And I'm loving that blouse.) She's ready for the Emmy parties that I'm sure happened last night and will happen tonight, too :)

I haven't heard much about her and New York Yankees' player Derek Jeter lately; maybe they've gone their separate ways. They stayed pretty much under-the-radar.

But Minka is staying busy; she has two completed projects, 'Searching for Sonny' and 'The Roommate,' and one project in development, 'True Love.'  (imnotobsessed)
