Sherlyn Chopra formerly known as Mona Chopra is an Indian model, singer and actress. Chopra’s early acting career was mainly in the B-grade Bollywood films. She appeared in movies such as Time Pass, Red Swastik and Game.

She also appeared in the Telugu film, A film by Aravind, which went on to become a super hit. In recent times, she appears to have made a conscious effort to project herself as a serious artist, releasing her first music album, and making a cameo appearance in a Yashraj film.

Chopra was the second guest on Bigg Boss (Season 3). She was evicted from the show on Day 27. She was also a presenter at the 55th Filmfare Awards held in February 2010.  (celebsaroundtheglobe)

Sherlyn Chopra As a Moulin Rouge

Sherlyn Chopra will soon be seen in a video directed and choreographed by Remo D'souza who has choreographed several films and item songs. In the video Sherlyn will be seen in different avatars. In one she will be a 'Moulin Rouge' performer while in another she will be a typical Bollywood item girl with all the associated jhatkaas and matkaas donning a diamond encrusted bikini.


DJ Akbar Sami has remixed and reworked the track to give it a house and club touch. "The original track 'Dard' was more of a lounge track. While it was a great piece of music, it wasn't of the dance variety. The success of an album and a music video is primarily based on the popularity it enjoys at discotheques and clubs. We have reworked Sherlyn's original track to give it an international club and house feel."

The costumes have been especially designed by fashion designer Reza (of DEVDAS fame) with inputs from Sherlyn and Remo

"We worked on the look keeping in mind the music and the dance moves. Sherlyn is a great dancer and a sensual, sexy movement comes very naturally to her. Keeping her plus points in mind I designed the costumes for her, which includes a traditional sequence, a bikini sequence and also an international sequence."

Sherlyn's fans and viewers will have to wait for another month till it goes on air.

Bollywood actress Sherlyn Chopra is shooting for her new music album 'Dard-e-Sherlyn' in Mumbai.

She was paired opposite model Shawar Ali in the video shoot of her new album.

Speaking to media personnel present during the shooting of her album, the starlet said she was inspired by Shah Rukh Khan's song 'Dard-e-Disco' in his latest flick 'Om Shanti Om' to do this album.

"A music album not just for the classes, but for the masses as well. After watching Shah Rukh's 'Dard-e-Disco', I thought I should also portray my pain on the screen in a positive manner. Because, I don't have six- pack abs like Shah Rukh has. I'm going to show something else," said Sherlyn.

Her debut album 'Outrageous' showcased her singing talent. The glamorous actress besides setting the silver screen on fire has also supported social causes, one of them being People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

She made her presence felt in PETA by posing for a terrific photo shoot in lingerie. Sherlyn has also set the film screen's temperatures soaring by debuting in her first flick Red Swastik.

The actress who has been trying to gain a foothold in the film industry for quite some time has been lucky so far, as the prestigious Yash Raj banner has signed her on.
